“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

- Acts 2:38

Why should I get baptized?

Because Jesus did, and because the Scriptures command us to follow Jesus in water baptism.

“At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Sprit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” - Mark 1:9-11

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” - Matthew 28:19

“Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” - Acts 2:38

When should I be Baptized?

When you have surrendered your life to Christ!

In the scriptures we see example after example of people “believing and then being baptized.”

You can ask yourself, “am I ready to publicly profess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life?” If that answer is “yes!” than you are ready!

“But when Philip proclaimed the good news about the Kingdom of God and about the name of Jesus the Messiah, men and women believed and were baptized.” - Acts 8:12
